NATURE
The beauty of taking pictures of nature is it's everywhere, walk outside, look around, there's nature all around you. Nature shots can take place in your front yard, at any time, take for instance the morning, you can go outside early, look up through the trees, notice the way the sun is coming down through the trees and there's a photograph. Obviously it's nice to visit epic parks and places but it's not completely necessary, observation is a key component to photography and nature is quite easy to spot.
NIGHT
Night time, oh the pictures you can capture at night, especially if you are willing to go to places you may have some reservations about. At night, there is no one around, it's quiet, it's just you and your camera hunting for the scenes hidden only by the dark. Whether you incorporate flash, light painting, or just the ambient light provided there isn't much you can not make beautiful with a long exposure. This is one of my favorite genres because of the cloaked privacy if affords me, and if you stay out late enough you can merge night images with dawn / sunrise shots, it's a really good time to get and shoot and I thoroughly enjoy it.
REAL ESTATE
This genre is more or less a daytime commercial version of shooting abandoned houses. Obviously these houses are not abandoned, the complete opposite, you are there to capture the space, shooting angles that compliment and truly show off the potential of the space. Real estate photography is important and helps both buyers, seller, and realtors convey the property visually, it's important to shoot the space in the most flattering of ways in a realistic and honest way. I enjoy helping all parties involved having something to show or see when considering one of the biggest purchases one typically makes in a lifetime.
